“Ticcu Ticcu” is a very nice wine bar in midtown Olbia, which combines an extensive choice of wine bottles from all over Italy and Europe with an accurate selection of food – from bread to smoked prosciutto to cheese – coming from all over Sardinia to enrich your wine-tasting experience.
It’s a wine bar with an intention: it’s carefully build around details (plates, cutlery, mise-en-place, glasses… nothing feels “standard”, but intentionally picked) and it has a distinctive vibe that’s friendly and easy-going while still with a posh touch.

I tried “Ticcu Ticcu” in a warm winter evening, at the begin of December, and it was mostly attended by locals enjoying an after-work aperitivo*. It was not a busy saturday, but I can see it being very crowded in the Summer, with the flock of tourists invading the city surroundings.
The relative emptiness of the bar made me fully enjoy the brilliant company of the owner, who takes the role of the italian oste* very seriously. He’s a good talker, describing what you’re going to eat or drink accurately, and you can feel that he loves what is doing with “Ticcu Ticcu” and the vibe is building with his choices.

Cultural Notes
- in Italy, “aperitivo” can be a type of drink, but it’s mostly a time of the day related to food&drink, akin to “dinner”, “lunch” or “breakfast”
